Acrylonitrile is produced from the ammoxidation of Propylene. Its main use is in Acrylic Fibre, which accounts for over 50% of total demand. Other major uses are in ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) and SAN (styrene-acrylonitrile) resins, adiponitrile and acrylamide.
