- reviewed the business of 22 plastics and intermediate products for the purpose of restructuring a major Brazilian petrochemicals corporation
- analysed 41 cracker and Gas to Liquid (GTL) products for the purpose of strategic market entry by a Saudi Arabian petrochemicals corporation
- recommended a lead bank in the high yield bond sales offer a consortium to proceed; other banks required an independent assessment of the markets and production economics. They took on the issue and the client is very happy and have granted extended projects.
- assessed the construction contract, the raw material contracts, off-take agreements, markets and production economics for an African investment bank the lead partner in the offer for Acrylic Acid Non-Recourse Financing Project.
- analysed in 2004 the world market, competitive strategies and new applications for nylon and non-nylon uses for adipic acid and its derivatives, including polyester polyols and unsaturated polyesters. The client has decided to build a new plant as result of the third party review.
- provided plant assessment on sites across Asia, plus marketing and business support on Pure Terephthalic Acid (PTA), polyester fibres and heavy engineering for a Vulture Fund in their due diligence. The consultancy was completed in a very short time frame.
- Tecnon OrbiChem provided an assessment of plant site assets, and marketing/business support for a business due diligence on IPA, MA and TMA. The client purchased selected assets saving US$100 million.
- a due diligence project was carried out by our M&A team, providing a full site and process cost assessment, marketing and business support on a maleic anhydride to Spandex business. Tecnon OrbiChem’s client purchased selected assets, saving US$50 million.
- Tecnon OrbiChem provided reviews of the supply and demand of dimethyl carbonate (DMC) worldwide to support capital investment decisions
- we provide price forecasts of key raw materials to support acquisition investment decisions, using our knowledge of the supply scenario to provide 15 year forecast
